Fiesta Week could simply be described as "A TASTE OF DURHAM ".  It's an annual week-long Multicultural Festival that gives the residents of Durham Region the opportunity to experience European, Asian and Caribbean cultures and foods without having to get on a plane.

Fiesta Week starts each year on Father's Day with the Fiesta Parade, followed by the Fiesta Concert in Memorial Park. The rest of the week you can sample the food and entertainment at the various pavilions located around Oshawa.

Oshawa Folk Arts Council is a voluntary, non-profit, non-political organization interested in preserving and presenting the folk arts that have been brought to Canada by people from all over the world. This council serves as the umbrella organization for a Fiesta Week of Cultural Celebrations held each year during the month of June in the city of Oshawa, Ontario. This celebration is a showcase of richness cultural groups give to the Region of Durham.
Oshawa's week long fun festival welcomes more than 100,000 people. Enjoy the hospitality, international cuisine, entertainment, public dancing, boutiques, cultural displays and good cheer. Fiesta Week held the third full week of June.

There's a lot to celebrate in Oshawa, and celebrate we do, with the annual Waterfront Festival, which kicks off Fiesta, a week-long festival involving a parade, concert, international cuisine, entertainment, a Teddy Bear Picnic and fun, fun, fun! The festival welcomes over 100,000 people each year, who revel in the multi-faceted aspects of the week. Several international pavilions hold open houses; an annual Folk Festival concert is enjoyed by music lovers; and the gala parade involves more than 2,000 participants. Offered by the Oshawa Folk Arts Council since 1961, the event nurtures goodwill and understanding among all people in the Oshawa community and beyond. The Waterfront Festival and Fiesta depend on thousands of volunteers who champion the excitement and diverse richness of multiculturalism.
